PURCHASING SECTION

Purchasing is one of the vital services provided by ship management. The section is responsible for ensuring original spares are delivered promptly to the vessels. It employs a centralized and computerized purchasing system, which allows a fast, reliable and cost-effective arrangement and supply of spare parts, stores and consumables.

The advent of shipping e-commerce has definitely revolutionized the way we do business today. The backbone of our purchasing workflow is the AMOS for Windows Computerized Planned Maintenance System integrated with the AMOS Express.

A maintenance management system for the marine industry, AMOS combines planned maintenance with spare parts control. This application is used for onboard requisition and allows direct data entry by onboard officers, while simultaneously and automatically exporting information to the shore office.

Access to e-commerce portals are also available through the AMOS software, giving us all the options to provide quality spares and services to ship owners.

ACCOUNTING SECTION

In close coordination with fleet managers and superintendents, the Ship Management Accounting Section has dedicated accountants for each vessel owner. The responsibility of the section is to perform an efficient accounting of vessel transactions, monitoring and analyzing accounts attributed to each vessel and owner, and providing clients with timely and accurate reports and statements.

The section works closely with vessel superintendents and the Purchasing Section – consolidating vessel budgets and forecasts, and ensuring efficient control and management of vessel owners’ funds and running cost budget.

The Accounting Section is geared towards continuously improving its systems and business processes. It aims to provide owners with value-added analyses and information to work together with the Ship Management department as the owners’ strategic partner in business.
