In accordance with the requirements of the ISM Code, shipboard practices are designed with the objective of protecting life, property and environment. This is achieved through periodic safety inspections, scheduled systems audit, drills and exercises. The company has imposed upon itself a 6-minute response time on any emergencies.
In addition, the company has implemented the Garbage Management 1 Plan for its Philippine-managed vessels in accordance with the MARPOL regulations. Collection, segregation, storage and disposal procedures are in place to address solid and oily food wastes.
With the International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS Code) in effect, all vessels undergoes security inspections according to the requirement of the Code and likewise externally audited every 2.5 years.
